Wisteria w/Filigree

I love Wisteria, the color and smell is wonderful. I've hand drawn my wisteria gourd design and burnt the design onto the gourd, then carved off the skin of the gourd, then carved in a filigree pattern. The background toffee color is applied using a technique I've develop by adding thinned transparent acrylics and moving it around with canned air, before heat setting it.  This gourd has been hollowed out and a wood base seals it at the bottom.

It makes a lovely gift for the gardener or anyone who enjoys handmade items from nature! Available on Etsy. #mce_temp_url#
